How it works

Phosphatidylserine helps maintain the cell membranes in our brains and is responsible for functions such as moving nutrients in and out of cells, assisting with cell-to-cell communication, and regulating cell growth. 

PS increases the fluidity and efficiency of cell membranes, which revitalizes membrane function and protects cells from damage. This leads to a host of benefits like improved cognition, concentration, and memory. 

Not only does PS affect the outer nerve cell membranes, it also becomes incorporated within the inner cell membranes and improves energy production. When the individual cells of the brain have more energy, the brain as a whole is energized, has more power, and functions better. 

Normally, our brains can manufacture enough phosphatidylserine, but there is evidence that insufficient production in the elderly may be linked to depression and/or impaired mental function. 

Scientists theorize that patients experiencing dementia or memory impairment is a result of changes or abnormalities in the fat composition of the brain, and supplementation with PS can help bring neural function back to normal. PS has also been shown to increase the production of the brain’s neurotransmitters (acetylcholine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine) and reduce neuron loss.

Non-medicinal ingredients

Softgel (gelatin, glycerin, purified water), non-GMO sunflower lecithin.
